Where To Find Affiliates

You can do this by receiving part of the revenue off of sales that the company gets from people who "click through" from your website via the company's links that are placed on your pages. If you can either write articles or have the promotion and marketing knowledge to publicize articles that others write, becoming an affiliate for several companies may be a great way for you to generate a good income right from your own home.

There are many products that have nice affiliate commission rates for those who know how to pre-sale their product and deliver click through customers who are ready to buy. As long as you choose to promote a product or service that can be very useful to a wide variety of people, then pre-selling your chosen company may not be that hard at all. The key in this situation may likely be getting those customers to your website so that they have a chance to see your recommendations and click on your affiliate links.

It is important that you know where to find affiliates and that you choose the best affiliates for you and your niche site. To make money with articles that you place on websites, you will also need a variety of good affiliate links that will help to generate revenue.

When you pick an affiliate, it is important that you determine which companies you will profit best from based on the frequency that the product is likely to sell. There are several types of affiliates and some will offer you more money from a sale than others will. Before you get hazy-eyed by dollar signs, however, remember some products are bound to sell more than others. If you sell on product four times a year from a little known company that gives you $100 per sale or sell a well known product 3 times a week at the rate of $10 per sale, then you will make much more money with the $10 per sale product. Often times large well known companies will offer a very small profit per sale because they are established and know that their product is likely to sell well. Small, unknown companies, on the other hand, need all of the promotion they can get. Also, because they are unknown, their products are likely to sell less frequently.

Otherwise you will be promoting a product to a group of people who do not even want nor need it. If your niche site targets parents of young children, then promote baby products. If you niche site targets gardeners, then promote gardening products. If you promote baby products to gardeners, you are almost guaranteed to not make a profit no matter how much money the affiliate company offers for a sale. The most important rule when picking affiliates to promote on your site is to pick products that would be of interest to those who would likely visit your niche site.

You can sign up with a company that manages the accounts of hundreds of companies, big and small, and apply for the products within these accounts or you can do a web search for companies that would match well with your niche, visit their websites, and see if they advertise an affiliate program. Lastly, there are two main ways to find an affiliate company for your niche website.

Two Simple Steps To An Affiliate Marketing Fortune

After watching hundreds of students build web businesses in a wide range of niche markets, I've concluded that there are really only two critical steps to succeeding as an affiliate marketer. Many people make their journey towards affiliate success a lot harder than it really needs to be and this article aims to help you to shortcut your learning curve towards becoming a super affiliate.

Ok, so what are the two critical steps?

Step 1 - Choose a niche that has thousands of passionate people already spending real money online on HIGH TICKET products and services. Your niche should also have a variety of membership sites or other forms of continuity products you can promote that have ongoing monthly fees.

It doesn't matter if you aren't an expert in this niche, by spending a few days or a week researching, you will know as much as 90% of the other people involved and you will be able to hold your own when writing articles and creating content for your website, newsletters or your blog.

The other critical element in niche selection is to make sure there are TWO TIER affiliate programs available so you can not only get paid for your direct referrals, but you can become a Joint Venture Broker and earn second tier commissions as well for introducing others to the program.

Do some research and find an affiliate program that offers -

* A two-tier structure so you can get leverage on what you do and earn commissions from the work of those you recruit into your team

* A full time affiliate manager who is there to answer your questions and help you to promote the program (and increase your commissions) in every way possible

* A range of pre-written promotional materials and an automated, step by step sequential marketing system that continuously follows up with the prospects you refer

* A range of high ticked products and at least one monthly membership program that automatically earns you commissions month after month for every member who continues their subscription

* Bonuses and incentives for high-earning affiliates to encourage you to become a peak performer

Step 2 - Promote your affiliate program by using Articles submitted to article directories and ezine publishers

The problem with entering niche markets that have high ticket products and lots of competition is it's nearly impossible to generate enough visitor traffic to your website or blog to make any headway. This is where writing and submitting articles and press releases gives you a major advantage over people who are working their tails off trying to get pages ranked well in the organic search results or who are buying traffic using PPC.

However, by finding keywords that aren't as popular as the top 50 words that everyone else is building pages for, or the keywords they are bidding several dollars a click for using PPC, you can run rings around most of your competition and clean up while they all slog it out and get nowhere.

What you want to do is find long-tail, multi keyword phrases that are highly descriptive and related to your niche, and write articles (or have them written for you) specifically focused and well optimized for those words. Then submit your well-optimized articles to the top article directories where they will be indexed by the major search engines.

If you do your job right, your articles in these directories will rank well in the engines, you'll generate lots of visitors to your site and you have the chance of turning these visitors into customers.

When these visitors arrive at your website, offer them something of real value to encourage them to join a list, and you can build your affiliate business quickly and inexpensively while your competitors won't have a clue about what you are doing. There's really no downside to this strategy as long as your articles are well written and informative.

So to summarize, in order to make an Affiliate Marketing fortune in two simple steps, all you need to do if find a niche market that already has lots of people spending money online and plenty of competition; learn all you can about that market so you become an expert (or at least you know more than 90% of the people involved); join a two tier program run by an affiliate manager who will help you succeed, and then promote that program using well written, keyword focused articles.

That's all there is to it. Don't go head to head with the guys with deep pockets. Use 'Marketing Ju Jitsu' and sidestep your competitors by using free articles to attract website visitors and you can quickly become a super affiliate without spending a fortune on marketing.

What does it take to become a successful Affiliate Marketer? What are the ingredients of an affiliate marketing success story? Is there a shortcut to Affiliate Marketing glory? All these questions play around in the minds of affiliate marketers who want to make it big in this business.
Although affiliate marketing is touted as one of the easiest and most effective ways to earn money online, it is not as easy as it sounds. The wise affiliate marketer plans every action and executes it the best way he can. He should also maximize the potential to earn by utilizing the right tools necessary for a successful Affiliate Marketing business. We have consulted some of the most successful affiliate marketers in the business and below are the top three necessary tools for a successful affiliate marketing business.

Important Tool #1: Your Own Website

The most important and indispensable tool in Affiliate Marketing is your own website. The first step in any successful affiliate marketing business is building a good, credible and professional looking website. Your website is the jump off point of all your marketing efforts. Thus, you must first build a user-friendly website, which will appeal to your prospects and encourage them to click on the links to the products and service you are promoting and make a purchase. Therefore, you must first concentrate your efforts in building a website that will cater to what your prospects need.

The most important thing you should consider is that almost all web users go online to look for information, not necessarily to go and buy something. Above all else, make your website full of original, relevant and useful content. People will love articles that are appealing and helpful. Keep in mind that, in the internet, content is still king and good quality content will not only build your credibility, it can also help you achieve a higher search engine ranking. By posting relevant and useful articles, you establish yourself as a credible expert in the field, making you a more trustworthy endorser of the product or service you promote. Establishing a good reputation is a good step in building up a loyal consumer base.

Important Tool #2: Incentives

Competition is extremely tight in the internet world. You must always be one-step ahead of your rivals to ensure that you capture a significant share of your target market. Therefore, you must use every possible means to encourage people not only to visit your site but also to click and proceed to the websites of the products and services you are promoting. Building an opt-in email list is one of the best ways to gather prospects. Offer a newsletter or an e-zine. Better yet, offer incentives to your prospects to encourage them to subscribe to your newsletters. You can present free softwares, access to exclusive services and other freebies that will be helpful to your prospects.

Important Tool #3: Link Popularity

The importance of driving highly targeted traffic to your website cannot be emphasized enough. The all-important web traffic is at the top of the list of the most important entities in the internet world. Attracting people to your site should be the first step you should carry out. Do everything to achieve a high search engine ranking. Link Popularity is one of the factors that search engines use to determine search engine rankings. Therefore, to enhance your link popularity, you must launch an aggressive reciprocal link campaign.

One of the best ways to do this " at no cost at all " is by submitting articles, with your website's link at the resource box, to e-zines and free article sites. You will not only gain exposure, you will also have the opportunity to advertise for free, just include a link back to your site. The more sites you submit your articles to, the better your link popularity is. Make your articles original, relevant and useful so that more websites will pick it up and post it.

These are but three of the many tools that an affiliate marketer can use to maximize earning potential. The possibilities are endless and are limited only by your imagination, creativity, resourcefulness and determination. You can always explore other ideas and adapt other strategies, which you think might help you become a high rolling affiliate marketer.

You might be thinking only businessmen can make much money out of the Internet, don’t you? Think again. You too can earn big bucks through the Internet even if you don’t have products to sell and high-profile and established company. How? That is through affiliate marketing. You might have come across these words over the net while surfing. Affiliate marketing is a revenue sharing between a merchant and an affiliate who gets paid for referring or promoting the merchants’ products and services. It is one of the burgeoning industries nowadays because it is proven to be cost-efficient and quantifiable means of attaining great profit both for the merchant and the affiliate and other players in the affiliate program, such as the affiliate network or affiliate solution provider.
Affiliate marketing works effectively for the merchant and the affiliate. To the first, he gains opportunities to advertise his products to a larger market, which increases his chances to earn. The more affiliate websites or hard-working affiliates he gets, the more sales he can expect. By getting affiliates to market his products and services, he is saving himself time, effort and money in looking for possible markets and customers. When a client clicks on the link in the affiliate website, purchases the product, recommends it to others who look for the same item or buys it again, the merchant multiplies his chances of earning. On the other hand, the affiliate marketer benefits from each customer who clicks on the link in his website and who actually purchases the product or avails of the service provided by the merchant. In most cases, the affiliate gets commision per sale, which can be fixed percentage or fixed amount.
If you want to be an affiliate marketer and make fortunes out of the Internet, you may follow the following three most basic and easiest ways to start an effective affiliate marketing program. First is to identify a particular thing you are interested in or passionate about so you won’t be bored and forced to develop your affiliate web site later on. Focusing on a specific area you know very well will help you bring out your best without much risks and effort. You can add a personal touch to your site and give your visitors who are possible buyers an impression that you are an expert in your field. In this way, you gain their trust and eventually encourage them to buy the products you endorse. Next is to look for good paying merchants and products or services related to your interest and create now a website. In choosing the products, you must also consider its conversion rate—the number of visitors-turned-buyers. There are various affiliate networks and affiliate solution providers that can give you info on the most profitable products and best paying merchants. The key here is, be wise enough to choose the right one.
Now that you have decided where to concentrate, have chosen the products to endorse and the merchant you are supporting and have created your own web site with top level domain name and reliable hosting, you are ready to promote. This is a crucial task, since it is through this that you would be able to increase traffic to the business website, sales and of course, profit. In affiliate marketing, it is possible to earn large sums of money in a short span of time especially when you’re endorsing high-priced items. Expensive products are hard to sell; however, with the right marketing strategies and sales techniques, you can draw visitors to the merchant’s site and make them buy the products. How to promote the products, though, would need a separate discussion. Continue to educate yourself by reading books or other articles online about the best advertising techniques.
Keep in mind, there is no facile and quick path towards success. Affiliate marketing may seem very tempting due to numerous encouraging testimonies of merchants and affiliate marketers alike who have benefited from it, but it entails great deal of hard work and persistence. Likewise, you need to be creative, flexible and willing to embrace new ideas to market your partners’ products until you find the perfect strategy that works for a specific market that you are targeting. Neither signing up for an affiliate program nor copying ads and leading others towards the merchants’ site doesn’t guarantee success yet. Many affiliate marketers fail to understand this, so when they don’t make sales, they quit, look for other programs and repeat the same mistake. In the end, they conclude that affiliate marketing is just one of those scams in the Internet. Even as you sleep, you can work your way to great financial success if you employ the right strategies in affiliate marketing. Be creative, be smart and surely, you’ll achieve your goals.

Why Two-Tier Affiliate Programs are Best?

When you join an affiliate program or start an affiliate program of your own, you have to decide whether it will be a single tier or two-tier affiliate program.

With a single tier program you earn a commission on any sales you make and that is it. If you are running your own affiliate program, you pay your affiliates a commission for any sales they refer and that is all.

However, with a two-tier program, affiliates are allowed to recruit sub-affiliates and are paid a small percentage of the sales these sub-affiliates generate. For example, the affiliates may earn a 30% commission for selling product X himself; and when one of the sub-affiliates makes a sale, the affiliate may get a 10% commission as well. This is very profitable for the affiliate as he can recruit an army of sub-affiliates, all earning commissions for him without any effort on his part except for the initial recruiting process.

If you are starting an affiliate program of your own should it be two-tier or single tier? Some might shy away from the seeming expense of a two-tier program. But is it really that expensive? Many affiliate program managers make the wrong decision on this.

Let’s look at an example. You have an affiliate program up and running and an average affiliate joins your program. Mr.Average has a web site that receives average traffic. He also has an ezine with thousands of subscribers published monthly. Mr. Average posts your affiliate links to his web site and promotes your product to his ezine list.

Initially, he generates good sales. However, a point comes when he saturates his market with your product and his sales begin to drop. He begins to lose interest in your program and your sales remain small. What happens if you set up a two-tier program? Rather than trying to keep your commission pay outs small, you motivate your existing affiliates to recruit other people to your program. This will exponentially increase your affiliate sales. Would it not be worth paying the referring affiliate a percentage of their sub-affiliates’ sales? Now when Mr.Average joins your affiliate program this is what would happen. When he has saturated his market with your product, he would now promote your affiliate program to his customers and ezine subscribers. Many of Mr.Average’s customers and subscribers decide to join the affiliate program. This in turn will motivate Mr.Average to continue promoting your products and recruiting affiliates.

Now what is the situation?

1) Your income increases because of increased sales.
2) You have a much larger customer base to which you can sell ‘backend’ products.
3) An increase in your income because of the life time loyalty of the customers referred by your affiliate.
4) An army of sub-affiliates who will sell your products, and in turn promote your affiliate program to their customers and subscribers.

The little extra in affiliate sales commission pay outs will be more than compensated for by the exponential sales increase. This is why the two-tier affiliate program is a guaranteed winner and should be the automatic choice for potential affiliates and affiliate program managers.

Protect Your Affiliate Income by Protecting Your Affiliate Links

The whole point of stealing is to make easy money off of the hard work of others. This is a concept that is of course, alive and well on the internet. This has also translated to affiliates and their links. When you sign up to become an affiliate, you are given a link. When someone signs up for a service or product from this link, you are given a commission. In the end, the only way to make money from this affiliate program is to have people visit or make a purchase through your own private affiliate links.

Crimes are usually ingenious and you wonder why a criminal will choose to come up with new ways to steal instead of putting their knowledge and brains into something legal. This can be said for the stealing of affiliate links.

Criminals will steal your money and commission by replacing your affiliate links with their own. You may not even realize it for a time. If you have high commissions from a few different affiliate programs, you may wonder why your sales have taken a nose dive. A closer look at your affiliate links may show that they have changed.

There are two different ways that you will most likely lose money from your affiliate links. The first is a thief who switches your affiliate links with their own personal link. They may notice that you have a great website with a lot of visitors and assume that you make a lot of money from your affiliate links. This can be done by hacking your computer, sending viruses, Trojans and worms or they may be someone that you have commissioned to write content. Always check your links carefully.

Another way that you lose commission is from a regular website visitor. For some reason, we as humans sometimes hate to see others succeed. A visitor may mouse over your link or banner and notice an affiliate link. Instead of clicking the link, they will either type in or copy the main part of the website URL and cut off your affiliate link. This prevents you from getting a commission if your link was not used. There is no reason for it except some people do not like to know that you have made money because they signed up under you.

How to protect your links

To protect your affiliate links you can try a website such as tinyurl.com. At this website, you can redirect your affiliate links to smaller and more attractive names. This will prevent most visitors from realizing that it is an affiliate link which can prevent theft and boost your affiliate sales.

Cloaking software is another great choice for your affiliate links. It does the same thing that tinyurl does, so you have a choice between the two.

You can consider buying a domain name for your affiliate links. You can try to pick a wide term that can cover most of your affiliate programs under a certain keyword or if you make a lot of money, you can buy a domain for each affiliate link. Another way to do this is to use your main domain name and create sub-domains to redirect your links. It can be an extra annoying step but it can also be worth it, when your affiliate links translates into commissions.

7 Ways To Protect Your Affiliate Program From Affiliate-Scammers

In an affiliate program, one or more less popular companies join together and help one another in marketing their products and services. The program works as the affiliates are paid commission whenever something is brought to the parent site through the attempts of the affiliates including website visitors, purchases made at the affiliate site, clicks on the advertisements or new registrations at the site. Recruiting affiliates helps in spreading the brand awareness of the company, attract more traffic to the site and increase the sales of the company, therefore it becomes extremely essential to choose an affiliate who is well-versed with the technicalities of marketing and who is able to attract more traffic to your website. It is a wonderful idea to have some one to work for you and send traffic to your website and all you have to do is to sit and wait for the visitors logging on to your site.

In order to attract affiliates to your website, you need to place ads on the relevant websites that are attractive enough to draw people who are interested to become affiliates. But… Among a lot of good affiliates, there are a huge number of affiliate scammers on the net who are lying around and waiting to trap you when you start looking for a real affiliate to do deal with. Believe it or not, there is an entire niche industry of these scammers. So, in order to avoid being trapped by these affiliate scammers, you need to follow these simple steps while recruiting an affiliate:

1.First of all, you must make sure that the affiliates recruited by you have your web links on their website. May be you will have to remind them a few times through monthly newsletters and monthly progress reports.

2.Always track your affiliates – where do they get the traffic from – websites, search engines, pay per click campaigns, etc. Check if the affiliates are placing your ads on some of the most popular sites.

3.Check if they are submitting articles or any content about your products to some of the most reputed article directories.

4.In order to get away from the affiliate scammers, do a lot of research of the affiliates when they join your affiliate program. Track where do they get their traffic from, track if that traffic converts. You should definitely check for fraud that affiliates might bring. E.g. if an affiliate joins and starts making a lot of sales in a very short period of time, you should better check where does he/she gets the traffic from, if it’s a legit traffic, etc.

5.Join some good web-master forums and read their posts and threads. Try to search for posts about affiliate’s scamming. This way you will definitely find some user experiences and tips on how to avoid such affiliates.

6.Once an affiliate signs up on your program and starts making sales, you should definitely contact him/her. Why? This way you could develop a relationship with your partner, ask if he/she needs anything more to promote. This way you could also check out if your affiliate responds to your messages.

7.You need to have a good affiliate management system like Click2Sell.EU (http://www.click2sell.eu) in order to completely track all your own and your affiliates sales, track your affiliate’s performance and if you find the bad ones – you can easily ban them. This way you can keep a record of your sales drawn through the affiliate’s efforts and develop a good partnership with your affiliates.

If you have started your own affiliate program and want to recruit some affiliates for your program then the above mentioned tips can provide you with the best possible affiliates in the market and also avoid you from getting involved in undesirable affiliate scammers.

Affiliate Tracking Options: Diy Or Affiliate Manager?

When it comes to tracking your affiliates, should you use a manager or do it yourself? To be sure, there are pros and cons to both approaches. If you do it yourself and you have a lot of affiliates you could find yourself spending most of your time managing affiliates and not running your business. On the other hand, if you hire a manager to oversee your affiliate program for you then you could have some out of pocket expenses, which could get expensive if you don’t have any affiliates or if you go a long time with only a few affiliates who are producing anything for you.

A good rule of thumb is only spend money when you can justify the expense. In other words, when you first start your affiliate program try doing it yourself for awhile then hire a manager when you have at least one affiliate who is producing enough sales for you to justify hiring a manager. A good affiliate manager will cost you 15%-20% of your total affiliate volume, but some managers charge a flat fee in addition to a percentage of the volume and that’s where you could have some unnecessary expenses.

You may have heard of the 80/20 rule. It is a reasonable expectation that 20% of your affiliates will produce 80% of your sales volume. In other words, you will likely have to get 5 affiliates before you find one that really does much for you. Even then, he will likely only produce 80% of your total volume, so if your total average monthly sales volume from your 5 affiliates is $100 then probably $80 of that is coming from one affiliate. That’s not a whole lot of business. That’s probably where you want to be before you start shelling out $15-$30 per month on an affiliate manager. At any rate, whatever your monthly cost for an affiliate manager, you want at least that much coming in the door from your affiliate sales before you turn over management to a manager.

For Success With Affiliate Marketing Choose the Correct Affiliate Site Topic

Many people slap up a website, add a bunch of banners and think that they are going to make a ton of money. Sorry…not true. It takes a lot more than some pretty banners and minimal content to make a website profitable. To make money with affiliate marketing, you first need to make sure that you are choosing the correct affiliate programs and topics. If most people really paid attention, they would realize that they chose a program simply because it pays more than others. This high pay will not mean much if they cannot sell the program to make money.

For example, if you have a website a blog setup it is always good practice to put up affiliate links that have something to do with what your site is about. It is not very likely that you will get buyers from your links if you put up banners about high heels on a video game website. You need to choose the right topics because you want to target certain people.

Even offline, big companies make their money by trying to target the sex and age group of the people they think will be more likely to buy the product. For those high heel banner ads, you will get someone to buy from your affiliate if your website is about women’s shoes or overall fashion.

It can be tempting to throw up off topic links if you have a site that gets many visitors but by choosing the correct topic, you are showing these affiliate links to a certain target group. These visitors are on your site because of the topic, the title and what your website is about. They want to look at and read what you have to offer. They won’t pay much attention to advertising that has nothing to do with them.

Targeted advertising does not do much in more recent times because people have become almost blind to them. They have learned to look past the flashing banners to quickly find the information that they are seeking. If there is nothing of interest, they will hit the back button and continue on their search.

Another reason to choose the correct topic is so that you are advertising something that you understand. Due to the fact that you should be choosing ads that complement your website; you should know what the product is about. If you have created a site solely to get people to buy, you want to know what you are talking about. Choosing a product that you have never used or even heard of can be difficult when you can’t give your visitors information about it because you don’t know or understand the topic.

So, if you want to make a "real" business from an affiliate website, choose a topic that you know something about. Everyone has some passion or hobby that he or she just loves to talk about. Build your website around YOUR own interests. You'll be better able to recommend appropriate affiliate programs to match that interest…and you'll be less likely to be bored working on your website.

How To Track Affiliate Marketing Campaigns And Increase Your Affiliate Profits Exponentially?

Advertising is an important and one of the most crucial parts of each and every business. It is said that conducting business without adequate advertising is similar to winking at a girl in the dark. This is because in both the scenarios, it’s only you who knows what you are doing and no one else. No business can survive without effective advertising.

Any business house which wants to survive in this highly competitive business world will have to resort to some effective campaigning tricks in order to promote his trade.

Gone are the days when people could relax by taking out a single advertisement about their products and then, expect to have a sudden increase in the number of customers. In today’s era, where people are bombarded with excessive advertisements of various sorts all around them, the advertisers need to come up with a very clever campaign which will make the audiences sit up and take notice of the product or service which is being advertised.

Advertising is one of the strongest means through which one can market their product. It is successfully used to increase affiliate marketing profits. Aggressive advertising of a product by clever campaigning is one trick one can indulge in. However, it is extremely important for the business house to keep a track on their sales and profits before and after launching the advertising campaign.

By maintaining a constant record of the profit and amount of sales which was done because of the advertising campaign, a company can adjudge whether the campaign is actually reaping benefits for them or not and whether they should continue with the campaign in future.

Most of the times, it may happen that the business house keeps reveling in the fact that they have launched a super-expensive advertising campaign, which will definitely help them to boost up their sales. However, it may work in the opposite direction by bringing a considerable decline in the sales.

Another thing to take care of while tracking advertising campaigns is whether the campaign is being targeted at the right audience. It is very important to identify the right target audience for the product which a company wants to market.

The advertising campaign should, invariably include all the elements and factors which affect the common man. Including these factors, if they are related to the product being promoted can help to make the audience take note of the advertising campaign as well; as the product which is being marketed.

These factors and information about visitors and customers can only be located if the company does a thorough research on the product, consumer habits and their past record and success rate of their past advertising campaigns which were launched for better marketing of the product.

Most of the people tend to search for information online about various products and services. It is important for the advertisers to keep a track of their visits and the products and services which the customers Google for.

How you could track an advertising campaign to measure its success?

1)First of all you need to signup on an affiliate program that allows you to create your affiliate links.

2)The affiliate program provider should provide you with all the tracking channels required to find out the effectiveness of your advertising campaign.

3)Your tracking channel should easily determine websites which refer you real sales, moreover such affiliate program should be able to determine the keywords used on search engines to drive visitors to your website (if you use pay per click campaign).

This way you will be able to completely track your advertising campaigns, find out on how much you spend for e.g. clicks on pay per click search engines. Moreover, this will help you to determine only those traffic sources that bring you real visitors that converts into buyers. There are various sites which allow users to track their advertising campaigns. One such user-friendly and extremely useful site is Click2Sell.EU (http://www.click2sell.eu) which has been adjudged as a great affiliate marketing network that allows people not only just to sell products online but also to track all the essential information about their advertising campaigns to maximize profits.

If you want to run a business successfully, then you should definitely track all your advertising campaigns to maximize your Return-On-Investment.

Ranking In The Front Page Of Google ‘The Affiliate Bloggers’ Way

You might already have a good knowledge on SEO but what I’m going to tell you in this post is the single method that most of the affiliate bloggers use to get their blog posts to rank in the front page of search engines, get hundreds of visitors and make huge profits.

Search engine visitors are the best quality visitors you can get according to most people. I believe in that too when it comes to affiliate blogging. You can get search engine traffic by using PPC (Pay Per Click). But if you know or have the time to work on ranking well with your blog posts in the search engine, you are going to save money.

There are many other sources for traffic like social media, blog commenting etc. But the visitors that come from these sources don’t buy in most cases. As an affiliate blogger, you want to sell (recommend, as I call it) to your visitors. For selling your products or affiliate products, search engine traffic is the best.

So what is the method I’m talking about?
You are right (are you?). It is Article Marketing.

I have written previously about article marketing as a source for getting traffic to your blog. Article marketing has one more advantage. The posts or pages that you link to, using the author bio will improve its ranking in search engines. Let me tell you how you can get the best out of article marketing.

Firstly, article marketing is a method in which you write articles and submit to article directories. By doing so, you are giving rights to other publishers and mailing list owners to use your article. At the end of the article, you will have an author bio. In this space, you will enter information about you or the product and give a link to the blog post using your main keyword as the anchor text. When they publish it, they will be sending traffic to your blog posts.

How this will help SEO?
When they publish it, they are linking to your blog post using the keyword you want to rank. As a result, you will get a lot of backlinks to the blog post for your main keyword. When you publish it in the article directory, it will count as a back link too. Some article directories like Ezine Articles will boost the blog post’s ranking by many times in search.

Google Affiliate Policy Change Rumor on Search Arbitrage

The Blogvine strikes again. I posted an article a few weeks ago about a post on one of the message boards indicating that someone in the UK had spoken to someone from Google at an event, and that Google was considering banning search arbitrage and forcing advertisers to link to their own website instead of redirecting clickers through the standard affiliate redirect links. I thought I needed to further clarify what I have heard, because some of my merchants have started to contact me about making changes for the “impending Google policy change”. When I asked where they heard this was a done deal, they pointed me to a blog, that referenced another blog’s article, whose article referenced my original article. (The Blogvine…)

I called my Google rep, and she said this was the first she had heard anything like that. She said that if Google would ever make that kind of change they would announce it well in advance to give their advertisers time to adjust.

Here are a few points to consider:

1. Google is making a lot of money from search affiliates. As a public company, Google isn’t going to want to do anything that is going to hurt there existing revenue streams. The current policy gives Google a clear competitive advantage over their major rival, Overture.

2. Unlike Overture, who has this policy in place already, Google doesn’t allow you to bid for exact position. Google’s advertising system will automatically drop off non-performing ads, so the argument that these ads are hurting the search experience is not valid. If customers were not interested in the ads, they would not click, and they would disappear automatically.

3. Making this change would not only hurt affiliates, but would hurt the merchants that the affiliates are advertising. These merchants are often Google’s top paying advertisers. If affiliates were forced out, then these merchants would quickly see their competitors taking up the open slots. Google has already stated it’s policy of not blocking competitors for bidding on trademark terms, this policy has been recently solidified by their victory in their legal case with Geico. (See Geico vs. Google – Google Wins!)

So I believe that rumors that this change will happen shortly after the new year, are over exaggerated at this point, and I highly doubt we will see Google making this drastic of a change any time soon.

That being said, it can never hurt to expand your horizons and start building some websites and landing pages for your merchants. Overture has a lot of traffic to offer if you start making these pages now. Don’t hesitate to ask your merchants for co-branded or personalized landing pages, many of them would be more than happy to help you out.

Affiliate Marketing And You

Affiliate marketing is defined as the use of promotion in order to sell a service or product for another company. The affiliate, or middle man, is rewarded for every visitor, subscriber, customer, and/or sale provided through their marketing efforts. The level of compensation depends on the main company. The affiliate's job is to drive sales by linking the consumer to the company who is providing the requested product or service. Many companies use marketing to increase their revenue.

Affiliate programs have contributed to the rise of many leading online companies. Affiliate marketing is a means of achieving a greater degree of success with websites who target specific groups of Internet users. One of the largest and widely known is Amazon.com, selling books, electronics, toys, and even pharmaceuticals. Amazon.com has thousands of affiliated websites, allowing consumers a wide array of avenues in which to reach their products.

Affiliate marketing has blossomed over the years with the increase in merchants fighting for the customer's attention. An affiliate works very hard to make sure the company is happy with their service, while keeping up with the ability to grab the consumer's attention, ultimately pulling them to their website. The three most common commissions an affiliate will receive are through either pay per click, pay per lead, or pay per sale. Pay per click is simply that, every time someone visits your site and clicks on the merchant's ad you get paid. Pay per lead means you most often need to get someone to sign up for whatever it may be the merchant is offering, like a credit card for example. Pay per sale means you must get the consumer to buy the product, this commission is by far the most lucrative.

Many people have turned to affiliate marketing as a way of supplementing income or as a full time stay at home job (great for moms who aren't ready to go back to work just yet). If you have the time and know your way around the Internet then this may be the right job for you. Internet marketing isn't going anywhere, with the rate technology keeps expanding, from small hand held devices to hot spot Internet connections the World Wide Web is by far the ultimate marketing tool. With the current decline in the economy causing consumers to tighten their wallets; more companies are attempting to get their products out to as many customers as possible through the fastest means available, what a better place than through the Internet.

How To Make Affilates: Why SEO is better than PPC?

Many affiliate marketers only rely on pay per click advertising to get traffic to their presell website. It is a good traffic generation strategy, although it's a little bit tough if you are just trying to get started with this business.

For affiliate newbies, I always recommend search engine optimization because they can learn the ins and out of affiliate marketing without losing money during this learning curve.

First, let's answer to this question: what does SEO mean?

Seo stands for Search Engine Optimization. In other words, how to get your affiliate website at the top of the search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN.

Whenever you perform a search in the search engines (Google for example), you will have a page with 10 results (or more if you changed the settings). The page is divided in two parts: On the right side, you have the paid Results (AdWords) and on the left, the paid results: the SERPs.

SEO will help you to get your site on the first page of the SERP's (also called organic results).

While it is easier to get a top ranking in MSN than in Yahoo and Google, sometimes weird stuff happen...

I tried to get a site ranked in MSN for its main keyword, since it was an easy word to target, but I got the high ranking in Google alone, not in MSN.

What about Yahoo!?

Yahoo is tougher to get in, and I didn't even register my site in their directory yet.

I prefer to focus only on Google for my sites and blog because I also get traffic from Yahoo and MSN. Sometimes, I will get a high ranking with MSN, but I don't try to optimize my sites for any of these 2 other Search engines.

Do you need free traffic as an affiliate?

The answer is yes, whether you are a newbie or a marketer veteran, you want free traffic to your websites.

What I like with SEO is that it doesn't require a lot of money to start when you are focusing on one or two websites only. But if you have some cash, I would advise to outsource.

Another question that you may ask is: Do I need a software?

No, you don't need a software either. I had a software named Traffic Travis (does almost everything that Keyword Elite does). However, I used it only two or three times just to check my competition.

It's true that a good keyword research software will save you a lot of time, but it's not required. Plus, a software is never a magic pill, you need to understand that you need to do the work.

Will Google Product Search Kill Internet Affiliate Marketing?

Not really, but it could make the job of an online affiliate marketer a total nightmare in the coming months... selling affiliate products on the web has just gotten much, much tougher.

Why?

Mainly because Google has taken Froogle, which it created in 2002 and re-named/re-branded it into Google Product Search. Now when anyone searches for a product on the web - Google Product Search will list the products and the stores selling them on the web.

Now it should be noted, Google doesn't charge any fees for these listings and accepts no payment for products that show up first; nor does Google make any commissions on sales. Google makes its revenue by selling advertising via Adwords on the Product Search results pages. Any company can submit products thru Google Base to be included in Google Product Search.

What's the problem?

Actually, there is no problem for the consumer who wants to find the cheapest price for a product. Google offers this great service which will help you find your product. It just cuts out the affiliate marketer who makes a living by promoting products on the web and receiving a small commission in return for their work.

But there are some very fundamental issues here that also cuts at the very heart of the Internet as we know it. Is Google changing the rules of how it does business by more aggressively targeting not only specific product keywords but much more broader keyword phrases in their organic search results with programs like Google Product Search? And they're listing their links first in the organic search results or what everyone has come to believe are organic results. This argument is not new, Google has been taking those top spots for years albeit directing buyers to other companies with the best prices and offers.

However, is Google now not just targeting a product name or product - but targeting and listing in the #1 spot all the broader keyword phrases which have until recently been dominated by the ordinary website owner? And even in your own iGoogle personal search, you can NOT place your choice ABOVE this Google Product Link.

The real tricky question here: isn't Google going from a search engine to a website creator and operator in this process? Is Google now not only providing the results; but is it now creating web pages to match those results? There's nothing wrong with that, Google can do what it wants, but for the small affiliate marketer it means competition. Big competition. In other words, every website on the net now has Google as a potential competitor in organic search.

Of course, how far Google goes with this broader keyword targeting has yet to be seen. Only time will tell if Google does indeed have affiliate links and affiliate sites in its cross-hairs. Many affiliate marketers on the web will be waiting nervously for the answer to that question.

Again, most people would agree with what Google is doing, since most affiliate marketers only hype the products they're selling and getting those affiliate based sites out of their search results and off the web may not be a bad move on Google's part and for the web as a whole.

However, are consumers now getting the real information on products they're buying? One of the great things about the Internet is that it has always offered various types of information and viewpoints on any subject matter - including the products that we buy on the web. By placing itself first in organic search results, Google is saying its information and listed products are the ones you should be getting.

Many affiliate marketers have spent years researching and studying a particular product niche and they offer valuable in-depth information on their sites about a particular product or service. They also offer comprehensive general knowledge about products, services and subjects that many searchers genuinely want to find when they search the web for information. It doesn't always mean going directly to the merchant to buy a product, many shoppers want information first, then make their decision.

While others will argue what's the big deal, isn't Google also giving other search results besides the top spot? Yes, but as any marketer who has had a # 1 ranking in Google or any search engine for that matter, will know the top spot gets the majority of the traffic. So Google, by reserving the top spot for itself, will now receive the majority of the traffic, which it can exploit with its advertising.

Google is smart. Google has smart people. And smart people know the longer you have a web surfer on your site and not on someone else's site, the more money you will make on advertising. By taking the top spot in organic search for every profitable keyword that's searched, and keeping those searchers on web pages derived from those results, Google can create more business for itself. The poor affiliate marketer and every other website owner will just have to settle for second place.

Google Launches Affiliate Network

Google is now in the affiliate-marketing business, having launched the Google Affiliate Network, a rebranding of the network run by DoubleClick's Performics business.

In the typical affiliate program, publishers place links on their Web site to online retailers or other e-commerce sites and receive a commission for each referral they pass along.

The relaunched network will put Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) in competition with large affiliate networks such as ValueClick's Commission Junction and LinkShare, a division of the Japanese concern Rakuten.

The rollout comes as Google has been talking up new ad-driven business lines and integrating the recently acquired online ad powerhouse DoubleClick. Google, which built much of its empire on pairing ads with people's search queries, is looking to expand its display-ad network through its new DoubleClick assets, and accelerate its video advertising both on YouTube and through the new AdSense for video product.

Many online retailers derive business through affiliate programs, either in-house or through an outside network. Amazon.com (NASDAQ: AMZN) runs its own program. eBay (NASDAQ: EBAY) recently followed suit, dropping its long-standing partner Commission Junction and taking its network in-house.

Among the larger retailers participating in the Google's network are Barnes & Noble (NYSE: BKS), Circuit City (NYSE: CC) and Target (NYSE: TGT).

Advertisers pay through a cost-per-action (CPA) model, in which they are charged only for the placement when a customer makes a purchase or takes another action that qualifies as a conversion.

Publishers will receive their commissions twice a month. Google said that it will put each application through a quality review, admitting publishers into the network at its own discretion.

Once they have been added to the network, publishers will be able to apply to advertisers, who can decide on a case-by-case basis which sites are a good match for their links.

It's a nervous time in the affiliate-marketing space. A controversial law took effect in New York last month that requires merchants who run affiliate programs to collect sales taxes on purchases made in that state, even if they don't have any employees or operations there.

Amazon and Overstock.com are fighting the law in court, but many fear that if it holds up, other states will follow suit, and affiliate marketers will become responsible for keeping track of overwhelmingly complex state and local tax codes.

Prior to the law, individual consumers were responsible for reporting out-of-state purchases on their income tax returns, but most people either didn't know about that law or ignored it.

Performics launched as an independent network in 1998. In 2004, it was acquired by DoubleClick, which was in turn bought by Google in a $3.1 billion deal that closed in March.

In addition to its affiliate-marketing business, Performics also carries a search-marketing division, which Google is in the process of selling.

ConnectCommerce.com will continue to host the affiliate network, but it will eventually be converted to a Google.com URL, Google said.

Google Affiliate Network - Will it Change the Way You Advertise?

Google had bought over DoubleClick a while back. DoubleClick had an affiliate network called "Connect Commerce". Google today announced to its AdWords advertisers that they will be phasing out PPA by end of August and instead advertisers can now look to advertise on the Google Affiliate Network.

If you are new to affiliate marketing here is a quick synopsis:
1) Tim sells a product called BodySoft. Its an everyday cold cream.
2) Tim using various marketing methods such as PPC, SEO etc., but wants to sell more.
3) He is ready to pay upto 20 % of the sale value to anybody who can sell it for him.
4) Jill on the other hand, does not own a product, but she is good at marketing. She is looking to sell other people's products.
5) Jill can now sign up as an "affiliate" (classically, a "commission agent") for BodySoft with Tim and then sell his product.
6) Every time Jill sells a BodySoft bottle, Tim pays her 20%.
7) Both Tim and Jill win.

This means that any AdWords advertiser now has the opportunity to tap into the huge power of affiliate marketing without the hassles normally associated with it, such as recruiting dozens of affiliates, tracking every sale and action, accounting them appropriately and finally paying them. is entire (and rather cumbersome and sometimes painful) process of affiliate marketing has been taken away by Google with its new offering.

I have had reasonable success with PPA campaigns and its set to get much better. I will be keeping a close watch on it for you to let you know how the Google Affiliate Network is shaping up.

5 Google Affiliate Secrets To Help You Earn Thousands Of Dollars Monthly

There is no doubt that Google affiliates rank as some of the most successful affiliates anywhere on the web.

Yet few understand the reason behind this success. Even the majority of Google affiliates who are yet to start making huge five figure checks do not quite understand why the Google Adsense program has flourished so much within such a short time.

Anybody who understands the real secrets behind the phenomenal rise of Google affiliates will be in a much better position to benefit and profit from it, whether or not they are current Adsense affiliates.

1. Google Affiliates Are Riding On The Most Dramatic Shift In The Advertising Industry In History

A few webmasters think that this Adsense and pay per click affiliate mania is a passing fad. All indications are that this is not the case. If anything mounting evidence points to one of the most dramatic and rapid shifts in advertising industry history. You can’t beat the deal to advertisers where they pay only for actual traffic to their website and more so when they can easily calculate their conversion rate on that traffic and predict their profit margin on the deal. This arrangement cannot be duplicated on TV or in any other offline media with so much precision and accuracy.

This means that advertising revenue will continue to shift away from other media and will move online at an even more rapid rate than is the case currently. And not just any online mediums like banner ads for example. The revenue will specifically shift to pay per click text ads. If you need some proof just look at the Google numbers in recent months, and most of it is being generated by PPC ad revenue.

What does that mean to a blogger or webmaster? It means huge and increasing profits as the number of advertisers grows and the competition between them for clicks grows fiercer.

It means that any expert in any tiny little niche will find it increasingly easier to make a good regular income from a low traffic targeted site with higher paying, more valuable Adsense keywords.

2. Google Affiliates Recognize That Content Is Not King, It’s Everything

Writers, or rather good writers are already enjoying a huge advantage as Google affiliates. Only well written content will attract quality traffic and only interesting engrossing content will keep that traffic coming back again and again. Only high-quality keyword rich content will keep a site high in search engine rankings and thus guarantee enough traffic to keep Google affiliate adsense earnings high.

3. Top Google Affiliates Are All Using The Blog Secret

Blogs were created for linking and everybody knows that links are closely related to traffic in two ways, firstly they generate traffic but more importantly, they help a site achieve high search engine rankings with usually opens the floodgates of traffic. Top Google affiliates are using this secret to keep those big fat Google affiliate Adsense checks arriving by special courier every month.

Most top Google affiliates have dozens of blogs loaded with the right keywords and engaging content. With just a little SEO (search engine optimization) skills, these new breed of high flying online professionals are able to get their sites to the top of search engine rankings. It is then minimal maintenance as they sit back and watch the traffic volumes flow to their blogs already loaded with Adsense ads. The result of all this is that the clicks happening at their sites shoots up and with it their Google affiliate Adsense earnings.

4. Google Affiliates Are Using The Secret of The Hook

In advertising it is called the hook. Journalists call it the angle or slant of the story. Both mean the same thing. It is all about picking up a subject and asking yourself, what aspect of it most interests your audience? If you answer that question accurately then your ad or your article will attract maximum interest.

Online this is becoming more critical by the day. Content that is not slanted to fit the interests and needs of you audience will not attract enough interest and this impacts on the traffic of your blog or site and ultimately on your Google affiliate adsense earnings.
